Since its release in November, 2019, the article on the microbiome-derived NEUROMIDE in the CURECODE “smart” K-Beauty skin care line from Dr. Raymond Labs has shot up the rankings to land in the attention output of 5% of all research outputs scored by Altmetric

In 2019, Dr. Raymond Labs, K-Beauty’s leading skincare company dedicated to developing and marketing innovative, affordable clinic-level skincare at home launched an article entitled, “Epidermal Endocannabinoid System (EES) and its Cosmetic Application” to outline and discuss the science and research behind the development of NEUROMIDE, a scientifically- engineered metabolite as a cosmetic ingredient.

Only four weeks after the article’s publication, its rating on placed it in the 25th percentile of research output monitored by Altmetric while in the months following to the end of 2019, the article soared to the 5th percentile on. Altemtric, the website that measures attention received online by academic and scientific journal articles through an algorithim, noted on the article’s ranking page, “Altmetric has tracked 14,056,542 research outputs across all sources so far. Compared to these this one has done particularly well and is in the 98th percentile: it’s in the top 5% of all research outputs ever tracked by Altmetric.

In the category of Cosmetics, the article ranks #2 of 151 outputs. The articles measured by Altmetric receive an overall score made of sources weighted by the algorithim that then ranks the article among the total of articles as well as in comparison to articles of its age and subject matter. So the article by Dr. Raymond Labs ranks 8.340 of 258,318 articles of similar age.

“We were excited to see such a high ranking for this article on Altmetric,” said Dr. Raymond(Byeong Deog) Park who co-authored the article published in the scientific trade journal Cosmetics in 2019. “Neuromide has been a breakthrough in skin care science and it is our hope that the high ranking of the article will help our research gain more visibility in the industry.”
